Alemayehu Shimeka

Alemayehu Shimeka received his BSc degree in Nursing from Jimma University in 2007 and an MPH in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from the University of Gondar in 2011. Currently, he works as an assistant professor of Epidemiology and Public Health: teaching Basic and Advanced Epidemiology, Research Methodology and advising both masters and undergraduate student researchers. Alemayehu started his PhD study in Epidemiology and Public Health in November 2016 on Acute Lower Respiratory Infections (Pneumonia) of children under five years old. He has published more than ten research publications on reputable journals, and currently has five manuscripts submitted for publication.
