SCOPE partners with medical and faith communities to improve health in Ethiopia through outreach, education, and training.

SCOPE fellow Kefyalew Addis, of the University of Gondar, applied to the Community Service branch of the university for a grant to replicate SCOPE’s work training priests and religious women to increase antenatal care uptake and prevent mother-to-child transmission of HIV/AIDS at a rural clinic in Dabat, Ethiopia.  The university has funded this project and Kefyalew is successfully implementing it.  Results will follow at the end of the project in September.
