SCOPE partners with medical and faith communities to improve health in Ethiopia through outreach, education, and training.

getaGeta Asrade was born in Simada, Ethiopia and received his BSc degree in Medical and Laboratory Technology from Haramaya University in 2006. He has worked as laboratory technologist, disease prevention and health promotion process coordinator, TB and HIV/AIDS prevention control officer, and acted as vice-head of a district health office. In September 2014, he joined the Institute of Public Health at the University of Gondar as a lecturer in the Department of Health Service Management and Health Economics, where he teaches undergraduate and post-graduate courses. His main areas of research interest are community health, and the monitoring and evaluation of programs and projects. He lives with his wife and daughter in Gondar.
